Youth Sailing World Championship: An international youth sailing event, to be held from July 13 to 20, 2024, on Lake Garda in Alto Garda.

Hundreds of the world's best young sailors will gather on Lake Garda for the Youth Sailing World Championships 2024, taking place from July 13 to 20, 2024.

World Sailing has collaborated with several Italian clubs located on the lake, each with extensive experience in organizing tournaments, to offer a spectacular showcase of the next generation of sailing champions. The clubs involved are:

  • Fraglia della Vela Riva
  • Lega Navale Italiana Riva del Garda
  • Circolo Vela Arco
  • Circolo Surf Torbole
  • Circolo Vela Torbole
  • Fraglia Vela Malcesine

Competitions:

A total of 11 events will be held, including the Male and Female divisions of the following categories:

  • 29er Skiff
  • 420 Two Person Dinghy
  • ILCA 6 One Person Dinghy
  • Mixed Two Person Multihull (Nacra 15)

Last year, the Male and Female categories in Kiteboarding Formula Kite and Windsurfing Youth iQFOiL were introduced.

Participants:

Open to young sailing talents up to the age of 19, around 1600 young sailors from over 75 countries will try to follow in the footsteps of Olympic champions Martine Grael and Kahena Kunze and Nathan Outteridge, as well as the current world, European, and Asian Formula Kite champion Max Maeder, who has been a three-time champion at the Youth Sailing World Championships.

I stayed at this hotel with my boyfriend on the weekend of June 10 and 11, 2017 and we were totally satisfied. The strengths of this structure are definitely the location directly on the lake (we had a room with a lake view) and the proximity to the center, easily reachable on foot in a few minutes. The staff is really kind and helpful and ready to meet all needs. Another plus for us was the parking. Must see: the Castle, Monte Baldo, and a trip to Limone. We will definitely return to Malcesine and definitely to this hotel!

It's a wonderful hotel. First of all, its location, not far from the center of Malcesine and very close to the beach, there is a cycle path that allows you not to use the car and a few meters away, there is the pier where you can take the ferry. The structure is beautiful, spacious rooms with small terraces to enjoy the view, very kind and smiling staff, then the kitchen: exquisite. In addition, the underground parking is very convenient. I especially recommend it for those who want a romantic holiday but also for those who want relaxation and naturalistic or cultural excursions

The hotel is brand new and is right on the lake, a fantastic position to take a walk to the village and enjoy the last rays of sun. The staff was very kind and really welcoming, both on arrival and at the bar, where we had an aperitif before dinner and then stopped before going to sleep. The breakfast was also excellent, very rich and complete, and especially the room is completely glassed and overlooking the lake. Our room was truly noteworthy, a suite with a huge window on the lake, right in front of the bed... upon waking up, it feels like being directly in the water!
