VALPOLICELLA

The land of wines and of a thousand sensations

Valpolicella is not just a geographical place, it is a soul, an ancient breath that moves among the Veronese hills, an embrace between orderly vineyards and villages scattered through time; it is a land where wine is not only produced, it is lived. Every row tells a story, every glass passion.

The undisputed protagonist of this territory is wine, but not just any wine; Valpolicella is in fact the homeland of labels that have made the history of Italian oenology and conquered the world for finesse, structure and recognizability. Starting from the youngest and most immediate “Valpolicella Classico”, ruby red, fresh, with aromas of cherry and violet, designed for the everyday table. It is the leaner version, but also the one that best represents the everyday character of this land.

More intense and more mature is “Valpolicella Superiore”, which ages for at least one year, gaining body and more complex notes of sweet spices, fruit in alcohol and balsamic nuances. With it you move up a level, without losing the balance and pleasantness that are the hallmark of the entire denomination. Then there is “Ripasso”, a true technical and sensory masterpiece. It is born from an ancient and ingenious process: the base Valpolicella is refermented on the pomace of Amarone or Recioto. The result is a wine that preserves the freshness of young grapes, yet enriched with structure, warmth and intense aromas: dried plums, black pepper, cocoa, leather.

And finally we have “Amarone della Valpolicella”. A powerful, elegant, enveloping red, born from grapes left to dry for months on racks in ventilated environments, concentrated in sugars and aromatic substances. The result is a wine that can exceed 15% alcohol and that knows how to age for decades. The bouquet is complex: cherries in spirit, dried figs, tobacco, dark chocolate, oriental spices. When one speaks of Amarone, one speaks of balance, structure and depth.

In Valpolicella, wine is not just a product, but culture, identity, and a lifestyle. It is the most authentic expression of a land that knows how to move you, season after season, harvest after harvest. A landscape to discover and savour slowly, like a great wine that needs time to tell its own story.
